I want to fit the screen to a PVC frame but all I have are two screw hooks and two very large wall plugs which are way too big for what I need. Can you please explain how I can fit it with no extra fittings for PVC frame. Thanks.

The fixings supplied are 2 raw plugs and 2 x L-shaped hooks. Use the correct fixings for wood, PVC or concrete.

I would like to know how strong the links are please as I’ve bought this type of screen before and the link can be bent easily to alter the length - is this the same with your chain or is this match stronger please? I’m asking because I’m looking for a strong version that cannot be bent open easily as my English bulldog like to chew and pull on these so I need something strong Thankyou

Hi there, The wall above our door is not vertical, it is probably 45 desgrees. Can you suggest a way to mount it on a wall like that? Thanks

The Homefront Door Chain may be more suitable the raw plugs and hanging brackets may be adjusted to be made level or an additional fixing maybe required.

Can you make the chain blind shorter by 2 inches

Yes, If the chain links need to be altered at the bottom, simply use a blunt screwdriver to force apart the link section to the desired length. Repeat this process with each chain link.

What is the difference between this screen and the homefront one you sell

They are different brands but will do the same job.

Can you please explain how the terminate fly screen is fitted. I will be hanging the screen on a back door frame and the hanging screws will be fitted into the frame above the door. I am concerned that the screen track will fall off every time we walk through it.

Hi, this arrived yesterday and I need to fit it on one side of a French door? The issue I have is there is that the doors are fitted into a recess as are most patio doors, if I hang them on the wall above the doors that leaves a big gap! I do not want to drill into the pvc frame of the doors in case it won’t take the weight unless you can assure me that this would be suitable. Hope you can help with this query Many Thanks Des

Hi, I want to fit the aluminium fly blind to my PVC conservatory door. Do I need special fixings?

Yes, provided the PVC is sturdy enough to hold its weight.

I wish to fit the screen within a door recess and the 220cm height of your screen is too much. Is it easy to take links out to reduce the length of the blind. I can work with 90cms wide although ideally this would be 95cms. Again is it possible to widen the screen. David Dyment

Several can be used together to fit a larger door recess.

Hi, I have your fly screens but I am totally confused regarding how to fit it. Your instructions say DRILL two holes 50cm from each side of the hanging rack, fine, but where on the width of the rail, in the centre, at the top or bottom? Also what size of holes I.e. 5/6/7mm? Your urgent reply would be most appreciated. Regards. Mike Sampson

It all depends on the width of your door, you can cut the rail down first with a hacksaw. Then measure 50mm from each side of the rail and drill your holes, use a 5mm drill first and screw the hooks in and hang the fly blind.

This comes with 2 free chain lengths. You would need to purchase two units to cut them to your correct door size. We do not sell any additional links.

Hi, I have new pvc doors just installed and don’t want to drill them, can this be held up using Velcro all across the top? Thanks

This can be positioned above your PVC door. We would not recommend using velcro it will not hold the weight of the chain curtain.
